Hannah Zhao

Hannah is an undergraduate student interested in the intersection of public health and social equity. Hannah worked as a Research Assistant at McGill University’s Land, Environment, and Development lab, in which she used quantitative methods to analyze social, historical, and religious ties between Mennonite communities. Hannah has a background in youth engagement and education, having taught hundreds of hours of parliamentary debating and public speaking lessons to students aged 8 to 16. She is actively involved in student governance, in which she conducts outreach with activists and researchers from North America, manages student teams, and organizes equity-forward campus initiatives such as Students of Colour Caucuses. Hannah plans to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Honours International Development Studies and Health Geography this spring. In her free time, Hannah is a map enthusiast and hobby botanist.
